Caregivers and Families

F.E.A.S.T. (Families Empowered and Supporting Treatment for Eating Disorders) is an international non-profit organization that offers services, resources, and education to caregivers. Resources are available for parents, siblings, and other family members.

National Eating Disorder Association (NEDA) Parent Toolkit: the parent toolkit offers guidance for the first steps in getting help for your loved one. It provides education about eating disorder terminology and information about treatment and insurance.

British Columbia Children's Hospital published the Parents Survive to Thrive Guide, written by parents with lived experience of the recovery process for their loved ones.

Eva Musby of AnorexiaFamily.com shares videos, bite-size audio, her book Anorexia and Other Eating Disorders: How to Help Your Child Eat Well and Be Well, and other resources from a lived parent experience.
